An Amethyst Affair: Rockford, Illinois Styled Shoot

An Amethyst Affair mixes an industrial setting with romantic touches and shades of violet throughout. Together with a team of Illinois vendors, we are giving you wedding inspiration that works in every season.

The venue for the shoot was Standard on State, located in downtown Rockford. This space features numerous areas including an outdoor rooftop, an indoor rooftop, main floor reception space, bridal suite, lounge area, two bar areas, and more.

Hair and makeup was done by Arch Apothecary which is conveniently attached to the venue - perfect for any Rockford brides!

The gorgeous, moody stationery was designed by Three Two Three Designs. The invitation suite incorporated the various elements of the design of the shoot - shades of purple and black, copper accents, geometric shapes, and an overall moody feel.

You could feel Chelsey and Randy's love throughout the day, and in all of the photos by EllAdele Photography.

The day included all of the wedding elements - portraits, ceremony, reception, drinks and dancing!

The ceremony was set up on the top floor of the venue. The gorgeous chandeliers worked as a statement piece, along with the black chairs. Floral was provided by London Avenue Designs. We knew we wanted the floral to be a statement piece, with various violet shades and an overall wild feel - which they specialize in!

The dresses were all by Maggie Sottero Designs from Hi Beautiful Bridal, a boutique located in Rockton, Illinois.

Industrial wedding reception

The reception was set up on the main floor of the venue, with exposed brick, large windows, and dark floors and ceiling. We used linens and rentals from Event Floral to create a fun, unique tablescape.

Texture adds a ton of interest to a table, so we used textured linen, a chiffon runner, and velvet napkins. We added a fun floral centerpiece, complimented by pieces of amethyst, copper votives, and acrylic menus. We also used agate place cards to complete the look.

We went more neutral with the sweetheart table, which was backed by a mirror and complimented by more floral and greenery, as well as pillar candles and iron candle holders.

Signature cocktails are always a great touch at a wedding, so we had to do some since the bars at the venue are stunning! We did Amethyst Champagne and Moscow Mules - which both worked with the copper and amethyst accents of the entire shoot.
