Kat + Nate: A wedding that proves color can be chic

This Chicago wedding pulled colors from spring, but made it chic with modern design elements. The elegant couple had a gorgeous event perfectly suited for them.

Kat and Nate started their day in a nontraditional way. They skipped the wedding party and instead got ready together at Nobu Hotel Chicago. The calm and and easygoing morning consisted of just the two of them, hair by Ramsay Marston Hair, makeup by Shannon O'Brien Weddings, Afton Events, and Cailynn Wolfgang Photo capturing it all. Can more couples please start their day in this stress-free way?!

They were then whisked away to their wedding venue, Loft Lucia. Set in the West Loop, it's the perfect location featuring city views in a central location for guests.

The bride's bouquet was modern minimalism at its best. This was the only piece of floral that was pure white, because color was incorporated everywhere else. Taxaflora created absolutely stunning floral pieces throughout that really made their wedding unique.

The ceremony featured lush arrangements emerging from the ground in a variety of colors.

The ceremony was short, sweet, and personal thanks to a close friend officiating.

Kat wore a sophisticated and stunning gown by Danielle Frankel, while Nate looked dapper in a classic tuxedo from Formally Modern Tuxedo.

Loft Lucia's rooftop is the perfect place for wedding portraits as well as cocktail hour.

Champagne was flowing as well as their signature cocktail - espresso martinis!

Again, the floral was the star here with the unique silhouettes and interesting color palette.

Guests were led back downstairs for the reception once we had flipped the space.

The wood farm tables at the venue are typically exposed, but we covered them in white linen to really amplify the upscale design of the wedding. The white linen, stationery, and candles really made the colorful floral pop.

A lot of people don't think of colorful floral when they think of a chic and elegant wedding, but they should! It's all about the different elements coming together to create the perfect vibe. The modern shapes, flower choices, and neutral backdrops created a stunning atmosphere.

It was all about the details, and the unique vases were such a nice touch!

Don't forget about the bar and the DJ booth! We of course had floral there as well.

Gold Noise DJs wedding setup

A delicious dinner from Boka Catering Group was served as toasts to the couple took place. The Best Man speech from this wedding will go down in history as one of the funniest I've ever heard!

The delicious cake was by Meg Galus from Cocoa + Co.

After the cake cutting, the newly married couple shared their first dance.
